Aakri App, Pickup Process, and Scheduling

Open the Aakri app, select the waste category, add item details, choose a preferred date and time, and confirm your pickup. Our trained team will arrive at your doorstep as scheduled.

Yes. You can schedule pickups for multiple waste categories, but each type (e.g., recyclables, sanitary, domestic hazardous) must be clearly segregated and selected separately in the app.

Pickup of recyclables may earn you money. For general trash, sanitary waste, or domestic hazardous waste, a nominal service fee applies based on the category and volume.

Payments can be made via UPI, debit/credit cards, or net banking directly through the app after confirming your booking.

Yes. Once booked, you can track your pickup partner’s status in the app, from en route to collection completed.

Yes. Pickups can be rescheduled or canceled via the app up to 2 hours before the scheduled time without any penalty.

If a pickup is missed without prior notice, you may need to reschedule and a nominal fee may apply for certain categories.

Yes. You can set up recurring weekly or bi-weekly pickups in the app for sanitary or domestic hazardous waste.

Yes, Aakri operates on all working days. Pickup slots depend on your location and availability shown in the app.

You can check service availability by entering your location or PIN code in the app during the booking process.

Yes. Standard household volumes are accepted. For larger quantities or bulk pickups, you may request a custom pickup through the app.

Yes. Aakri offers specialized plans for gated communities, apartments, and RWAs. Contact us through the app for details.

Yes. You can enter a different pickup address and contact number while booking. Just ensure someone is available at the location.

In select locations, yes. The app will indicate if bins or bags are available for certain waste types like sanitary waste.

Trash, Sanitary Waste, and Domestic Hazardous Waste

Aakri collects dry non-recyclable trash, recyclables (paper, plastic, metal), e-waste, used diapers, sanitary waste, and domestic hazardous waste generated from
homes.

General trash includes single-use plastics, worn-out clothes, packaging material, old shoes, broken toys, thermocol, and other dry, non-recyclable waste.

No. Aakri does not collect kitchen or wet waste. We focus only on dry, recyclable, sanitary, and domestic hazardous waste.

Use leak-proof, sealed bags clearly marked as ‘Sanitary’ or ‘Hazardous’ waste to
ensure proper handling by the Aakri team.

All hazardous and sanitary waste is handled by trained personnel using protective gear and is transported to government-authorized incineration units for disposal.

Yes. A minimal fee applies due to the specialized handling, transport, and treatment required for these waste types.

Yes. Aakri works exclusively with CPCB-compliant, state-of-the-art incineration and recycling facilities for safe and legal waste processing.

No. These items should be scheduled separately under ‘E-Waste’ in the app for
proper dismantling and recycling.

Avoid wet waste, construction debris, animal waste, and commercial/institutional hazardous waste. These are not part of Aakri’s service scope.

Our collection partners use calibrated digital weighing scales on-site to ensure accurate measurement of your recyclable materials like paper, plastic, or metal.

Yes. The weight is displayed to you at the time of pickup before pricing is calculated. Aakri ensures complete transparency during the process.

Yes. We use regularly calibrated digital weighing machines that comply with industry standards to maintain accuracy and trust.

Pricing is based on the type of material and the current market rate per kilogram. You can view updated rates for each category within the app before booking.

Yes. After the pickup, you receive a digital summary in the app with item category,
weight, rate, and total amount paid (if applicable). For scrap items, payments are processed instantly.
